Are walk-ins accepted?

Can I get waxed while pregnant?

  • Yes, waxing while pregnant is safe for most clients.

Keep in mind:

  1. Skin sensitivity is usually higher

  2. You may bruise or feel discomfort more easily

  3. You may need assistance with positioning past 7–8 months

  • Consult your doctor if you have any pregnancy complications or medical concerns.

How should I prep before a wax?

  1. Hair must be ¼ inch (about 2 weeks of growth)

  2. Shower and come clean

  3. Avoid lotions, oils, or deodorant day-of

  4. Wear loose clothing

  5. Avoid caffeine the day of your appointment

  6. You may take Tylenol 30–60 min prior (optional)

Exfoliation Rules:

Chemical exfoliants:

  • Stop use 3–7 days before waxing

  • Resume 48–72 hours after

Manual exfoliation (scrubs, mitts, brushes):

  • May be used 24–72 hours before your wax

  • Do NOT exfoliate the same day

Can I be waxed on my period?

  • Yes, as long as you wear a clean tampon or menstrual cup.

  • You may experience increased sensitivity.

Post-Wax Care & Instructions

For 24–48 hours:

  1. No sex

  2. No swimming/pools/hot tubs

  3. No workouts or sweating

  4. No tanning or sun exposure

  5. No saunas or hot showers

  6. No tight clothing to avoid friction

  7. Avoid touching the area

After 48–72 hours:

  • Begin exfoliating 2–3 times weekly

  • Start exfoliating 2-3 times a week

  • Stay consistent every 4–6 weeks for best results

Is irritation after waxing normal?

  • Yes, temporary redness, bumps, or tenderness can occur.

This typically resolves within 24–48 hours.

  • If irritation persists or worsens, text the studio for guidance.

Contraindications (When You Should Not Wax)

You should not book a wax if you are (:

  • Using Accutane or have within the last year

  • Sunburned or had recent intense sun exposure

  • Using Retin-A, Retinol, Differin, Tretinoin (unless discontinued 3–7 days prior)

  • Have active acne or open wounds in the area

  • Using strong prescription exfoliants or skin-thinning medication (ex: antibiotics)

  • Recently received chemical peels, micro-needling, or laser (within 2–4 weeks)

  • Have severe varicose veins, active herpes outbreak, or skin infection

  • Extremely sensitive or reactive skin during flare conditions

How long will I stay smooth?

  • Most clients remain smooth 2–4 weeks, some past that, depending on growth cycles, hormones, and consistency. Regular waxing reduces hair thickness over time.

Do you take photos for content?

  • Photos may be taken for progress reference only.

  • No images are posted publicly without your written consent.
